IRYNA BURGESS COLLECTION

Russian Designer Iryna Burgess has developed her own techniques of Felted Alpaca which are as warm and far more exciting than wearing traditional furs. She sells exhibits and teaches felting in Kiev, St Petersburg and Moscow. She has perfected the art of felting furs with British Alpaca. Iryna will be at Moscow Fashion week with her collection of Intelligent Felted accessories in October 2011.

 Iryna's collection complimented the collection by designer Sonali Dharmawardena who designed the batik dresses on the catwalk below. 

THE SAREE COLLECTION

Anila Preston from the United Kingdom and Sonali Dharmawardena from Sri Lanka have developed a range of Winter Sarees using a Nuno felting technique for evening wear in Europe. The concept behind the winter saree is that alpaca felting can be made to look translucent although it is still warm.
